Dues for 2009-2010 - After January 1, all dues are half-price
MTNA Active Member Dues: $63.00 Collegiate MTNA: $12.00 NMTA Active Member Dues: $25.00 Collegiate NMTA: $12.50 LMTA Active Member Dues: $15.00 Collegiate LMTA : $ 5.00 First time collegiate members pay dues first year directly to LMTA. MTNA will bill in succeeding years.

LMTA Senior Dues: $10.00 (70+ including any member grandfathered in)

PROCEDURE FOR TRACKING MEMBERSHIPLEVELS
AND EXTENUATINGCIRCUMSTANCES
Pleasekeep track ofyourLMTAinvolvementon theform provided in your Yearbook.Submit thecompleted form to the Membership Committee before June 30th. Programsofstudent involvementin schools, hospitals,nursing homes, etc. may be sentalong with the completed activity form from the Yearbook at the end of theyear.Refer any questions to the Membership Committee Chair.
To achieve professionalstatus, members must have completed the following in the year prior todesignation:
1. LMTA SponsoredEvents (3 required per year). Members mustsign in at allLMTA sponsored events to receiveworkshop or meeting continuingeducationcredits. The MembershipCommittee will check attendance sheets forcompliance.
2. Enter one or more students in LMTA events or NMTAFestival.
3. Committees. Committeechairs are responsible for submitting the names of their members to themembership compliance committee by the end of the fiscalyear.
4. Compliance. Compliancemonitors will forward membership activity and status to the MembershipChair.
5. Once membershiplevels are determined, those members who are paid up by June 30th of each yearwill have their membership status published in the LMTA Yearbook (membershipdirectory)and LMTA Brochure which will be made available to the public. Thewebsite will be updated as necessary. Thenames of members who have attainedprofessional status will be included in telephone information given out to thepublic.
ExtenuatingCircumstances
- Music-related workshops may qualify forthe meeting/workshop requirement if a member is unable to attend LMTA sponsoredevents (must be approved by the membershipcommittee).
- Professionalinvolvementinanothermusic organization willautomatically qualify a member forprofessional status for one year while working toward requirements.
- Professional members who arefull-timemasters or doctoral music studentsmay waive committee and student performancerequirements.
- Any college course in music may completethe meetings/workshops requirement for a member already engaged in musicteaching as a professional.
- Extended major illness of the member ora family member is an
extenuating circumstance in which the member may waiveworkshops, committee and/or studentparticipation.
