LMTA Sponsors a Piano Masterclass by Dr. Mark Clinton of UNL

The Lincoln Music Teachers Association (LMTA) will host a piano masterclass by Dr. Mark Clinton for LMTA students from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. on Saturday, April 10th, at Fellowship Community Church, 8451 Eagle Crest Rd, Lincoln, NE 68505. Clinton is currently Hixson-Lied Professor of Piano and Head of the Keyboard Area at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Dr. Clinton will be teaching via Zoom. Students have the option to play in person or by Zoom. The event is free and open to the public. Nonmembers must register at the www.LMTA.info at the “Contact Us” button. Biography

Dr. Mark Clinton. Dr. Clinton is an accomplished pianist with an impressive pedigree, having worked extensively with some of the world's foremost pianists, among them Leon Fleisher, John Perry, Carlo Zecchi, and Tatiana Nikolayeva. This critically acclaimed pianist has garnered prizes at such prestigious international competitions as the 1987 William Kapell International Piano Competition and the 1991 Joanna Hodges Piano Competition.

Mark Clinton has shared his musical insights with gifted students from around the world while serving on the faculties of Salisbury University, the Aspen Institute, Missouri Southern State University, the Ameropa Chamber Music Festival in Prague, Czech Republic, and the International Chamber Music Festival in Kyustendil, Bulgaria. He also frequently serves as an adjudicator for important national and international competitions.”
