LMTA selling Younkers Community Day Booklets for a $5 donation

-Community Days will be held on November 9th and 10th

The Lincoln Music Teachers Association is selling $5 booklets to support LMTA’s Music Outreach Program. Our non-profit 501C3 organization keeps 100% of the booklet price and the customer receives up to $400 in special shopping offers at Younkers or any Bon Ton Store.

Booklets can be purchased on the LMTA organization’s website,www.lmta.info, or Lincoln Music Teachers Association Facebook page. Books may also be purchased online at http://bit.ly/QA7d7J until November 1st and they will be mailed to the purchaser free. Community Day’s is a two-day shopping event at Younkers. The company has generously created this event to enable non-profit 501C3 groups and schools to raise money to support their mission.

“Community Days has been an important fundraising event for our organization,” said Wanda Mandigo, Music Outreach Program Chair of Lincoln Music Teachers Association.“ It’s a win win for everyone, we raise funds and the purchaser gets great shopping offers at Younkers.

LMTA-MOP provides music lessons with an LMTA professional teacher for students in the Lincoln area who would otherwise not be able to afford full price lessons. LMTA-MOP presently supports 40 scholarship recipients with sixteen Professional level teachers providing services. They receive partial payment for teaching a Music Outreach student. This program is sponsored in part by grants from the Nebraska Arts Council www.nebraskaartscouncil.org, the Nebraska Cultural Endowment, St. Mark’s Lincoln Outreach Foundation, Cooper Foundation, Lincoln Community Foundation, The Lincoln Arts Council, Delta Omicron, local piano tuners, CGSmusic who offers string repair, and Dietze Music House who provides free sheet music, piano delivery and instrument repair services.

Donations of cash, instruments and sheet music from the community are accepted.
