Post date: Dec 26, 2012 8:14:00 PM

The Lincoln Music Teachers Association (LMTA) will sponsor a day with composer Melody Bober on Saturday, January 26, 2013, at Grace Lutheran Church, 2225 Washington Street, Lincoln, Nebraska in conjunction with their tri-annual Theory Fun Fair. Ms. Bober will present two workshops for teachers in the morning: one from 9:30 to 10:30 am, “Five Ways to Energize Your Studio”, and one from 10:45 to 11:45 am, “Revitalize Your Recitals”. Students of LMTA members are invited to participate in the afternoon activities. Bober will give a master class to students playing her compositions from 1:00 to 2:15 p.m., and then present a recital of her new music before students transition to Fun Fair activities at 2:45 pm.

Melody’s approach to music performance, composition, and education will make this event worthwhile for music teachers and students of all ages and abilities. LMTA was able to bring Ms. Bober to Lincoln by a grant from MTNA (Music Teachers National Association) Foundation Fund which paid a portion of expenses.

Non LMTA teachers and interested parties are invited to attend the morning workshops and the afternoon recitals from 1:00 to 2:45 free of charge. Seewww.LMTA.info for more information on LMTA. Call 214-406-3559 with questions.
