Tour of Sheldon Art Gallery to Inspire Music Composition

At 10:00 a.m. on August 25th and 1:00 p.m. on September 8th, Lincoln Music Teachers

Association member and Sheldon Art Gallery docent Joan Reist, NCTM, will lead a

visual tour of the art on display at the Sheldon Art Gallery. The tour will be offered to

students of LMTA members in order to give them inspiration for composing original

music.

In the spring of 2013, LMTA will sponsor their biannual Composition Contest with

categories available for students of LMTA members in Elementary, Junior, Senior and

teacher categories. Constructive comments are provided by an adjudicator. Winners in

each category receive prizes and play on a winners recital. The Composition Committee

consists of Marcia Wiebers, Chair, Marina Fabrikant and Marge Underwood. For more
